The mission of Bedford Christian Camp is to provide the setting for outdoor ministry to people of faith. The camp's ministry of hospitality enables participants of all generations to foster a deeper faith, develop self-understanding and build relationships with others.
Lodge
A lodge completed at Camp Bedford in 2002 has increased the opportunities for ministry through the camp. The old dining hall/lodge was only productive in fair weather since it is only heated from a stone fireplace. The 10,735 square feet retreat center at Camp Bedford was built on a bluff overlooking White River Valley. It is a two level building consisting of a lower level partially built into the side of a bluff, and an upper level with a 700 square foot deck attached.

History
What is presently called Bedford Christian Camp was built as a community county club overlooking White River in 1914. It later became a YMCA camp called Camp Gunaquot until 1951, when the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) in Indiana purchased the site. First Christian Church, Bedford, Indiana acquired the camp in 1972.
